Remember our veterans and continue to pray for them.
Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American GI. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom. |

Armistice Day began as a commemoration of the ending of World War I, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11 month of 1918. After World War II it was recognized as a day to pay tribute to all service members, and in 1954 it was designated as Veterans Day.
Veterans Day is largely intended to thank living veterans for their service, to acknowledge that their contributions to the United States national security are appreciated, and to underscore the fact that all those who served - not only those who died - have sacrificed and done their duty.

If you go to this website, www.LetsSayThanks.com you can pick out a thank you card. Xerox will print it and send it to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets it but it will go to some member of the armed services. How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one! Please send a card. It is free and it only takes a second. Wouldn't it be wonderful if all the soldiers receive a bunch of these! Special thanks to Xerox for sponsoring this and to everyone who takes a few minutes to do this. Our troops need our support, encouragement and prayers.
